Since the late nineteenth century, the School of Architecture has studied the relationships between culture, architecture, and the city at every academic level, aiming to contribute to the nation’s comprehensive development through an ongoing commitment to sustainable futures in architecture, urbanism, territory, landscape, and heritage.
We aim to lead the transition towards an ethical approach to design in Latin America, establishing an original approach based on observation, innovation, creativity, and experimentation. We aspire to generate possible futures, creating a space where students and faculty, alongside communities and organizations, collaborate to envision and design conditions that promote sustainable, equitable, and inclusive living.
The Institute is an academic unit founded in 1965 to promote research and teaching in planning and urban territorial studies. It is a leading interdisciplinary unit in the region, offering undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs, as well as certifications.
