Office of Gender Equality and Respectful Treatment
The office advocates for and fosters respectful and fair treatment, inclusion, and gender equality within the faculty’s community, aiming:
- To be a space of recognition and acceptance, dialogue, and inclusive relationships for the entire FADEU community.
- To promote a culture of best practices, respect, and good treatment, proposing internal measures and evaluating results.
- To be a space for information, support, and follow-up on the policies, norms, and procedures the university has implemented.
- To identify and evaluate areas where the faculty should make changes to actions that undermine equity, respect, and fair treatment, as well as propose internal measures, policies, and guidelines.
- To represent the UC Unit for the Prevention and Support of Victims of Sexual Violence (UVS) within the faculty, to embrace, support, and advise victims of sexual abuse or harassment.
- To support the faculty’s academic secretariat in promoting an academic career with equal opportunities.
Gloria Saravia Ortiz
Architect, Master in Architecture, Theory, Criticism and Architectural Projects (2005), and PhD in Architectural Projects (2009) from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Barcelona, Spain (European Doctorate 2009, Spain-Italy, Cum Laude). Special Track Professor at the UC School of Architecture; her body of work focuses on the dialogue between architecture, landscape, and art, and has been published in Europe and Latin America. She is also Director of the FADEU Work in Progress (WiP) project, an interdisciplinary exhibition that brings together architecture, design, and art, and of the Office of Gender Equality and Respectful Treatment.
