Cities Observatory (OCUC)
The Cities Observatory (OCUC) aims to consolidate itself as an applied research center for urban and territorial studies, establishing, at the level of the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urban Studies, an institutional collaboration platform to develop projects and research that enable the generation and implementation of urban public policies in the country.
Furthermore, OCUC positions itself as a center for urban and territorial studies that provides concrete diagnoses and innovation proposals in public policy, in accordance with the country’s institutional and political reality, capitalizing as much as possible on the role of various public sector figures. In this way, the objective is to address in depth some themes of the National Urban Development Policy (PNDU), and to develop specific proposals that engage with its implementation in the territory.
