The Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urban Studies (FADEU) was founded in 1920 and is composed of the School of Architecture, the School of Design, and the Institute of Urban and Territorial Studies. These three units offer undergraduate and graduate programs. The Faculty’s disciplinary areas address the complexity of habitability in its full extent, from the object to the territory. From its specific domain, each FADEU unit contributes to both the university and the public sphere, from a recognized leadership position based on the quality of its teaching, its faculty, and the research and dissemination of its disciplines.

MARQ: Master of Architecture

MARQ: Master of Architecture

The UC MARQ Master of Architecture Program is aimed at graduates in architecture and related fields prepared to undertake an advanced program lasting 3 semesters full-time or 5 semesters part-time. Established in 1991, the program currently seeks to ensure that its students have the capacity to formulate projects that critically recognize the conditions of the contemporary world, understanding architecture as an extended cultural field that intersects at its margins with other disciplines.

MPUR: Master’s in Urban Project

MPUR: Master’s in Urban Project

The Master’s in Urban Project (MPUR) operates in a field between Architecture and Urban Planning. Driven by an increasing demand for urban project experts, this program was created to train professionals from academia, and the public and private sectors who work in this field, which extends beyond the traditional scope of Architecture due to its complexity of scales and its dialogue with other disciplines.

MAPA: Master in Landscape Architecture

MAPA: Master in Landscape Architecture

The Master in Landscape Architecture (MAPA) is an in-person postgraduate program offered by the School of Architecture at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, with a dual academic and professional focus. This program is designed to strengthen research and project competencies in landscape architecture through the application of design concepts, methods, and tools, addressing urban, ecological, and sociocultural issues across various scales and territorial contexts.

MASE: Master’s in Sustainable Architecture and Energy

The Master’s in Sustainable Architecture and Energy (MASE) is a postgraduate programme at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, with a combined professional and academic focus. MAPC: Master’s in Cultural Heritage

The Master’s in Cultural Heritage, based at the School of Architecture, is affiliated with four University faculties: the Faculty of Engineering (via the School of Engineering and the School of Civil Engineering); the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urban Studies (via the School of Architecture, the Institute of Urban Studies, and the School of Design); the Faculty of History, Geography, and Political Science (via the Institute of History); and the Faculty of Arts (via the School of Art).

The Master in Advanced Design (MADA) systemically integrates 3 components: Design, Technology, and Business.
MADA is a professional postgraduate program aimed at professionals from various disciplines who seek to develop advanced skills and capabilities to solve complex problems that arise when economic, social, environmental, and technological development is people-centered.

MHM: Master in Human Settlements and Environment

MHM: Master in Human Settlements and Environment

The MHM studies the processes of territorial occupation and transformation at various scales, emphasizing environmental and social dynamics to address contemporary sustainability challenges.

MDU: Master’s in Urban Development

MDU: Master’s in Urban Development

The MDU examines the spatial, sociocultural, economic, and political processes that shape the contemporary city at different scales, to address the challenges of planning and governance related to urban and territorial development.

MAC: Master of Construction Management

MAC: Master of Construction Management

The Master of Construction Management (MAC) is the result of a joint effort between the Faculties of Engineering and Architecture of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the Chilean Chamber of Construction.

MPU: Master in Urban Planning from IEUT

MPU: Master in Urban Planning from IEUT

The Master in Urban Planning UC provides professional training – theoretical and practical – specialized in urban planning and management, with an interdisciplinary perspective, promoting a comprehensive vision of urban processes and impacts.
