The Office of Internationalization, Communications and Outreach is responsible for promoting, encouraging and developing outreach activities and internal and external communications within the Faculty’s areas of expertise, ensuring their relationship with academic activities, and for designing and leading the international agenda.

Francisco Díaz
Architect and Master’s in Architecture, UC, Chile. MSc in Critical, Curatorial and Conceptual Practices, Columbia University. PhD, Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy. Associate Professor, School of Architecture, UC Chile. He has delivered lectures and participated in public events in Australia, Brazil, Chile, Denmark, Ecuador, Estonia, India, Italy, Jordan, North Macedonia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, the United States, and Uruguay. Between 2015 and 2022, he served as editor-in-chief of Ediciones ARQ and ARQ magazine, publishing more than 100 books and 24 magazine issues. His editorial work was awarded at the 2016 Pan-American Biennial of Quito and the 2022 Ibero-American Biennial in Mexico City. In 2020, he was curator (together with Pablo Brugnoli and Amarí Peliowski) of the exhibition Casa Chilena at the Centro Cultural La Moneda in Santiago. His book Contemporary Pathologies: Essays on Architecture After the 2008 Crisis won the 2021 Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism Award. His latest book, Soils, was published in 2024 in Chile and Spain.
Juan Andrés Inzunza Briones
Journalist, Universidad del Desarrollo. Postgraduate Diploma in Housing and City Policy, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Master’s student in Strategic Creativity and Artificial Intelligence-Based Communication, Universidad Autónoma de Chile (Cohort 2025–2027).
He joined the Communications Office of the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urban Studies in 2017. And since 2024, he has also been the journalist in charge of communications for the UC Cultural Heritage Center.
As a communications analyst, he served as interim head of the Communications Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism, where he also worked as head of the communications and dissemination unit for the regional ministerial secretariat of Los Ríos, and as communications officer for the Quiero mi Barrio program in the Los Lagos region.
He was also the communications officer for the National Bovine Tuberculosis Training Plan, a public and animal health program jointly implemented in the country by Universidad Austral de Chile and the Agricultural and Livestock Service.
