Office of Internationalization, Communications and Public Programs

The mission of this office is to advance the faculty’s international profile, enhance public and internal communications, and create meaningful public initiatives. Its main tasks are to conceptualize, foster, and undertake the international agenda; to envision and manage public and internal communications; and to design and develop the public programs.

Francisco Díaz

Francisco Díaz

Director

Architect and Master in Architecture, UC, Chile. MSc in Critical, Curatorial and Conceptual Practices, Columbia University, United States. PhD, Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy. He is an Associate Professor at the School of Architecture, UC, Chile. Between 2015 and 2022, he served as Director of Ediciones ARQ and ARQ magazine, publishing more than 100 books and 24 issues of the magazine. His editorial work was awarded at the 2016 Pan-American Biennial of Quito and the 2022 Ibero-American Biennial in Mexico City. In 2020, he was curator (together with Pablo Brugnoli and Amarí Peliowski) of the exhibition Casa chilena. Imágenes domésticas at the Centro Cultural La Moneda in Santiago. His book Contemporary Pathologies: Essays on Architecture After the 2008 Crisis won the 2021 Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism Award. His latest book, Suelos, was published in Chile and Spain in 2024.

Juan Andrés Inzunza Briones

Communications Coordinator

Journalist, Universidad del Desarrollo, Chile. Postgraduate Diploma in Housing and City Policy, UC, Chile. Master’s student in Strategic Creativity and Artificial Intelligence-Based Communication, Universidad Autónoma de Chile (cohort 2025-2027). He joined the Communications Office of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urban Studies in 2017. Since 2024, he has also been the journalist responsible for communications at the UC Cultural Heritage Center. As a communications analyst, he served as interim head of the Communications Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, where he also worked as head of the Communications and Dissemination Unit for the regional ministerial secretariat of Los Ríos, and as Communications Officer for the “Quiero mi Barrio” program in the Los Lagos region. He was also the Communications Officer for the National Bovine Tuberculosis Training Plan, a public and animal health program jointly implemented in the country by Universidad Austral de Chile and the Agricultural and Livestock Service.
