This interdisciplinary approach has promoted a profound academic transformation, advancing from the study of natural hazards and emergency response toward a comprehensive perspective focused on disaster risk reduction and resilience building.
Our scientific production is internationally recognized, and CIGIDEN’s public policy proposals and technological transfer contributions are having a positive impact on people’s lives. We believe that scientific research of excellence is only possible with knowledge, presence, and roots in the territory, achieved through the construction of collaborative relationships and permanent dialogue with individuals, communities, and decision-makers.
