We seek to lead the transition toward an ethical approach to design in Latin America, establishing an original approach based on observation, innovation, creativity, and experimentation. We aim to become generators of possible futures, a space where students and faculty, together with communities and organizations, work together to imagine and design the conditions that promote sustainable, equitable, and inclusive living.
The Institute was founded in 1965 with the objective of promoting research and teaching in urban and territorial planning and studies. It is currently a leading interdisciplinary academic unit in the region, offering undergraduate, diploma, master's, and doctoral programs.
