El art\u00edculo trata sobre la desconocida historia de NASA en Latinoam\u00e9rica, donde la estaci\u00f3n de rastreo satelital chilena se convirti\u00f3 en la m\u00e1s importante. El relato es realizado en estrecha conexi\u00f3n con el hallazgo arqueol\u00f3gico de una antigua insignia NASA de dos metros de di\u00e1metro realizada en mosaicos. En el contexto de la carrera espacial el art\u00edculo conecta historia de la tecnolog\u00eda y del branding con Latinoam\u00e9rica y con la Guerra Fr\u00eda, adem\u00e1s de realizar una puesta en valor arqueol\u00f3gica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El art\u00edculo es publicado el marco de la edici\u00f3n del libro Space Race Archaeologies, editado por Pedro Alonso en DOM Publishers, Berl\u00edn. El libro re\u00fane las ponencias del seminario del mismo nombre realizado en marzo en Princeton University, adem\u00e1s de las piezas de la exposici\u00f3n \u201cDome\u201d que acompa\u00f1\u00f3 dicho seminario y que fue curada por Hugo Palmarola y Pedro Alonso.
