\n UC Pastoral <\/h2>\n \n

\n The Pastoral Ministry of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile seeks to fulfill the Church’s mission at the university through various activities, gatherings, projects, and services, bringing to life a disciple-making and outward-reaching church. <\/p>\n \n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Its objective is to serve the units and departments of UC, so that its members can develop spiritually and have spaces for prayer, fostering communal and sacramental life, as well as celebrating liturgical seasons and developing projects that engage with culture, generating community and spaces for encounter. In this way, it seeks to accompany members of the community through faith and promote solidarity actions both within and outside UC, thus establishing itself as a central part of the university.<\/p>\n\n

UC Pastoral presupposes the leading role of the laity for its development and requires the close accompaniment of consecrated individuals who, in addition to celebrating the sacraments\u2014when they are priests\u2014guide the path of other members of the university community, giving life to a discipleship-oriented and outward-looking church.<\/p>\n\n

Lo Contador Pastoral<\/h3>\n\n

The Lo Contador Pastoral is made up of a group of people that brings together academics, staff, professionals, and students from both programs on campus into a single body. With excellent teamwork and the goal of bringing Christ to every corner of the Campus, it develops projects and proposes topics for reflection.<\/p>\n\n

In recent years, the emphasis of the Lo Contador Pastoral has primarily been placed on three areas: communal life, liturgical life, and its social dimension.<\/p>\n

Vida comunitaria

<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Se ha formado una comunidad de estudiantes que encuentran en la Pastoral un hogar con Cristo en el centro, un lugar para vivir la amistad y el encuentro, as\u00ed como para recibir formaci\u00f3n en la fe que les permita enfrentarse a los desaf\u00edos que, como estudiantes y futuros profesionales, deber\u00e1n enfrentar. En esta comunidad se comparten distintos carismas y perspectivas, y entre todos se hacen cardo de llevar a cabo diferentes proyectos e iniciativas apost\u00f3licas que puedan hacer vida el Evangelio en medio del campus.<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

Vida lit\u00fargica

<\/strong><\/h4>\n

La Eucarist\u00eda es un lugar privilegiado de encuentro y el centro del quehacer de la Pastoral de Lo Contador, ya que gran parte de las actividades comunitarias y de formaci\u00f3n se realizan inmediatamente despu\u00e9s de la eucarist\u00eda de las 13:00 hrs.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n se ha generado un espacio promovido por Coros Pastoral, en el que se invita a los estudiantes a poner sus dones al servicio de los dem\u00e1s a trav\u00e9s del canto durante las misas, rosarios, adoraciones cantadas, entre otros.<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

<\/strong><\/h4>\n

A trav\u00e9s de distintas iniciativas la Pastoral de Lo Contador ha buscado servir en iniciativas sociales en las que puedan aplicar los conocimientos de las carreras de dise\u00f1o y arquitectura, a trav\u00e9s de los Trabajos San Jos\u00e9, operaciones novatas y participando en intervenciones en capillas o lugares necesitados, donde los estudiantes acuden durante un fin de semana a prestar sus servicios y acompa\u00f1ar a las comunidades.<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n

Patron Saint of the Faculty: Saint Joseph | March 19<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

A carpenter and husband of Mary, he was declared the patron saint of the universal Church. He lovingly cared for the Virgin and devoted himself with joyful effort to the education of Jesus Christ, whom he served and protected exemplarily.<\/p>\n\n
