\n Center for Sustainable Urban Development <\/h2>\n \n

\n The Center for Social Conflict and Cohesion Studies (COES) develops collaborative research on topics related to conflict and social cohesion in Chile through a multidisciplinary team of researchers from the social sciences and humanities. COES focuses its academic and outreach activities on the analysis of the multiple manifestations of social conflict in Chile, its causes, as well as its cultural and historical context. It has four lines of research: Socioeconomic dimensions of conflict; Group and individual interactions; Political and social conflict; and Geographies of conflict and cohesion. In addition, it has four cross-cutting research agendas: migration, gender, elites, and the constitutional process. <\/p>\n \n

COES is funded by the ANID FONDAP program (ANID\/FONDAP 15130009), is sponsored by the University of Chile and the Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile, and has the Universidad Diego Portales and Universidad Adolfo Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez as partner institutions.<\/p>\n\n
