\n UC Solar Protection Laboratory (LAPSO UC) <\/h2>\n \n

\n The Solar Protection Laboratory (LAPSO) is an infrastructure designed and built by researchers from the UC Architecture and Fa\u00e7ade Study Group (GEAF UC) in the context of the FONDEF ID15I10425 project “Variable Fa\u00e7ade.” Its objective is to measure and evaluate the energy and lighting performance of solar control prototypes designed for application in building fa\u00e7ades. <\/p>\n \n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The laboratory consists of four chambers equipped with an instrumentation and data transmission system that measures the visual, lighting, and solar performance of static and dynamic fa\u00e7ade prototypes controlled through real-time monitored protocols. General data is transmitted online and can be viewed on the group’s website (www.fachadavariable.cl).<\/p>\n\n

The laboratory also features a weather station that enables monitoring of various environmental parameters. The station is equipped with all the sensors required to record the data needed for generating specific climate files for the city of Santiago.<\/p>\n\n
