\n UC Cultural Heritage Center <\/h2>\n \n

\n The Cultural Heritage Center (CENPUC) is an organization that, seeking to strengthen cultural identity, promotes and defends knowledge of cultural material and immaterial heritage, as well as natural heritage, through interdisciplinary academic programs and actions. <\/p>\n \n

Since its establishment in September 2007, it has carried out teaching, outreach, and research activities, including academic certificates in tangible heritage and continuing education courses on the management of urban, architectural, and cultural landscape heritage. In 2010, it was awarded a Mecesup Project for Cultural Heritage Research, bringing together the university\u2019s Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urban Studies; the Faculty of Engineering; the Faculty of History, Geography, and Political Science; and the Faculty of Arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to the country\u2019s specific needs, the center has developed a series of seminars on earthen architecture restoration and post-earthquake reconstruction, and has actively participated in discussions on the new heritage institutional framework in Chile. Among the research projects led by the center stand out studies on religious architecture, the planning of designated heritage areas, the revitalization of heritage neighborhoods, and heritage routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
