\r\n Centro del Patrimonio Cultural UC\r\n <\/h2>\r\n

\r\n El Centro del Patrimonio Cultural de la Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile es un organismo que, con la finalidad de fortalecer la identidad cultural, promueve el conocimiento del Patrimonio a trav\u00e9s de programas y acciones acad\u00e9micas interdisciplinarias.\n\n\r\n <\/p>\r\n

Since its founding in September 2007, it has carried out teaching, outreach, and research activities, including: academic certificates in tangible heritage and continuing education courses on the management of urban, architectural, and cultural landscape heritage; as well as the revitalization of heritage neighborhoods and the planning of designated heritage areas.<\/p>\n\n

In response to the country\u2019s specific needs, it has developed a series of seminars on earthen architecture restoration and post-earthquake reconstruction. It has also actively participated in the discussion on the new heritage institutional framework in Chile.<\/p>\n\n

In 2010, it was awarded a Mecesup Project for Cultural Heritage research, bringing together the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urban Studies; the Faculty of Engineering; the Faculty of History, Geography, and Political Science; and the Faculty of Arts.Among the research projects led by the Center, studies on religious architecture, designated heritage areas, and heritage routes stand out.<\/p>\n\n
